A digital making tech festival in Southend with coding and tech activities to do, interesting talks and projects on show.
We’re looking for companies/people/children to show projects, give tech talks, help with workshops and other volunteering activities on the day.
Let us know on the booking form if you want to take part.
We’ll be doing more activities in Essex, so book an invite ticket if you can’t make it.
For all ages and abilities from families with children to IT/engineering professionals.
Part of the Raspberry Pi Big Birthday Celebrations, TechCityonSea and Essex 2020 Year of Science and Creativity.

10am Preview and meetup for those doing talks, showing projects or helping/running workshops and marshaling.

Workshops
Please bring a charged laptop/tablet and power leads if you can, as there are only a few laptop computers which people will need to share.

Dance Party workshop – Beginners 7yrs+
Choreograph dance moves and light effects to your favourite pop tunes.
“Interactive Storyteller” – Intermediate to Advanced, 9yrs+
Create a story and make the story change each time it runs.
Then, remix the code to write your own story. Storyteller was created by New York Times bestselling author Miriam Peskowitz, based on her book Code Like a Girl. Awesome for people who like to write.

1.30pm Moon Lander Hackathon – Beginner 7yrs+ or Intermediate to Advanced 11yrs+
Follow instructions to create a moon lander and then take a number of challenges to investigate and extend your project.
