Tim Peake will be coming back from space soon and we will be celebrating, especially after Southend Raspberry Jam did so well in the Astro Pi competition.

We will be doing lots of Astro Pi, Sonic Pi,  looking at data from Tim  Peake’s experiments and having lots of fun.

See some of our future events.

Bring any Scratch, Raspberry Pi or other tech projects you may wish to show. If you have a SenseHAT or BBC MicroBit, bring it along.
Please bring a charged laptop to use with SonicPi, Scratch and BBC MicroBit.

If you don’t have anything to show or bring, please come along anyway.
There will be some equipment for people to use and share.

1pm Setup, conversation and casual help.
2pm Beginners guide to Raspberry Pi / Show and Tell
2.30pm Sonic Pi – learn to code music and be part of a Sonic Pi Orchestra.
4.00pm Astro Pi – a chance to see the data Tim Peake recorded on the Raspberry Pis in space and code the AstroPi .
5.00pm BBC Microbit programming.
6.00pm Mentor training (from age 7yrs to adults).
8pm Close down

If you would like to do more events like this and get trained up as a mentor (ages 7yr+) and help out, come to TAP every second Monday from 6pm and other events.
