Monthly Makerspace meetup

at The Old Waterworks, North Road, Southend, SS0 7AB
Bring your own projects, phones and laptops although we’ll have some available to use.
Parents must accompany children and we are looking for volunteers to help mentor.

Take part in the Pioneers competition for those aged 11yrs to 16yrs – make a video of your project’s development and post photos / videos on social media. Theme “Save the world”.
BBC Microbit, Raspberry Pi, Scratch, robots, electronics, Python coding.
1pm: “Your Code in Space” – a competition for 19yrs and under to run their Python code on the Raspberry Pi computer and sensor boards on the International Space Station.

The venue is located on the junction of North Road and Chelmsford Avenue and free parking is available. Please note that there is a new entrance to use just North of the junction.

Teams code the Raspberry Pi computers and sensors on the International Space Station using beginner Python coding (no experience of Python necessary, suitable for ages 7yrs+).
